Newsarama reporter Vaneta Rogers is on the scene at Wizard World Chicago (and even made it into the big Dark Knight panel) and sent over some pictures from the floor.
Comic veteran Jim Starlin at the DC booth:
Graham Cracker Comics was handing out yellow balloons all weekend. Some exhibitors even decorated their booths with them:
It’s the return of Hourman & Iron Fist! Wait, Hourman …?
From inside a domed booth where you could try out new video games.
Um … ?

August 12th, 2007 at 1:54 pm
I want a Yoda like that. Is it a retail item or was it a made by the buy wearing it?
August 12th, 2007 at 1:59 pm
Hourman has a cameltoe.
August 12th, 2007 at 2:20 pm
The Yoda is a real item, my comic shop had it a while back. And the uh what guy is Dr Weird.
August 12th, 2007 at 2:41 pm
Wow…was the White Queen’s bottom painted on?
August 12th, 2007 at 2:44 pm
I had missed the Hourman cameltoe. Thanks…
August 12th, 2007 at 3:22 pm
That White Queen has a litte bit of cellulite, but so do I. I’d hit it.
August 12th, 2007 at 3:22 pm
Yeah, The Emma girl probably should have put on, um, pants…
This con looks fun. Might be more my speed rather than San Diego. Is this geared more for true Comic fans?
August 12th, 2007 at 3:52 pm
Who’s the girl in the short red dress (photo
playing games suppose to be? That outfit is is so 1980’s.
August 12th, 2007 at 4:02 pm
The Yoda backpack thing is available from the Think Geek website

I love that place, it’s murder on my bank account though. I just got the light up transformers shirt. That thing keeps you occupied for hours…
August 12th, 2007 at 4:03 pm
More like White Dairy Queen…
August 12th, 2007 at 4:44 pm
The women at the San Diego ComicCon were MUCH hotter. But mad props to the blonde for dressing up like a character she looks nothing like.
August 12th, 2007 at 4:56 pm
The White Queen has lovely thighs.
August 12th, 2007 at 4:57 pm
Wow -what a bunch of geeks. Not a single photo of a guy and a girl together enjoying the …well, what would you call this ‘virgin fest’? “Misery seeks company” I suppoese…
August 12th, 2007 at 5:56 pm
Most convention centers ban helium balloon giveaways (they get tangled in the ceiling if lost). Interested to know if Graham Cracker’s got dispensation.
And Foggy and Matt FTW.
August 12th, 2007 at 6:06 pm
BATMAN beats WOLVERINE? Pffffffffffffff.
Sales don’t prove it.
August 12th, 2007 at 6:22 pm
The girl in the White Queen outfit looks great.
August 12th, 2007 at 7:06 pm
The cosplay white Queen is so sexy and the cosplay Matt & Foggy are so gay.
August 12th, 2007 at 8:36 pm
Haha I can’t believe someone made a Dr. Weird from Aqua Teen costume. The Yoda backpack is amazing and the White queen is not hot with those cellulite legs.
August 12th, 2007 at 9:54 pm
It was fun, I wish there was more costumes and cosplay but it was fun, can’t wait till next year!
August 13th, 2007 at 1:54 am
The White Queen’s lack of a chin is far more of a problem than her actually quite nice thighs.
August 13th, 2007 at 5:57 am
Yeah, who cares that she probably doesn’t do pilates, the White Queen girl is pretty darn hot. And I agree Foggy and Matt (or as I call them: Moggy) have some unresolved sexual tension between them. Ah, I love cons.
August 13th, 2007 at 6:42 am
I was there and seen the White Burger Queen. After 6, 5 dollar beers(not a bad price for a con she was looking pretty sweet. I asked her if she could read my mind and she flipped me off!
August 13th, 2007 at 7:19 am
Now i see it in real life, i realize how perverted the White Queen costume really is. Gawd, who designed it? Was it Byrne? I can’t believe everyone at the time went, “yeah, sure, that looks cool. Kids’ll love it”.
August 13th, 2007 at 7:21 am
Seriously, the comments about The White Queen are making me ill.
August 13th, 2007 at 7:51 am
“Now i see it in real life, i realize how perverted the White Queen costume really is.
There are more perverted versions. Versions that don’t actually meet in the middle and could only be worn using glue.
And I doubt anyone was thinking about kids when it was designed.
August 13th, 2007 at 1:23 pm
Okay all you White Queen haters, let’s see a show of hands from all the guys dating a hotter girl? A girl who wears thigh-high stripper boots and a bustier? That girl is hot, she looks great, and we’d all hit that.
August 13th, 2007 at 5:32 pm
C’mon people, that girl looks fine as Emma. Besides, the only people I know of that can actually pull off Emma, (How’s she’s drawn and dressed in comics) are Pamela Anderson, (during the Tommy Lee years) and Jenna Jameson (pre meth and Tito Ortiz years). I’m sure there are a few others, but I can’t think of any right now. That girl is very balsy for putting that outfit on.
August 13th, 2007 at 5:53 pm
white queen is hot! I love that white queen girl! arf arf!
August 14th, 2007 at 1:32 am
I love how all the guys are like ‘white queen!’ –implied fapfapfap– and all the girls are going ‘eww cellulite’ –implied weeping into mirror and vomiting into toilet. This is hilarious.
August 24th, 2007 at 1:47 am
Most of the girls dressed in costume were just that… still very young. Barely 20 for the most part. Curious to know if anyone got shots of all the Poison Ivy costumes as some were much better than others.
