I was two years old and I still want to read this.

August 9th, 2007
Author Graeme McMillan

Dear internet, why didn’t you tell me about the ‘76 blog earlier?

(’76, dear friends, is a retro two-in-one mini-series for Image that B. Clay Moore, Seth Peck, Ed Tadem and Tigh Walker are working on. It looks awesome. The ‘76 blog is a workblog for said book. It is also awesome. Go beneath the jump for swearing and a planned ad for the book that was rejected and witness the awesome. Thank you.)

Shot of Leon busting up a pimp. The pimp has a huge yellow fedora and a floor-length purple coat with leopard fur trim.

Text:

Superman fights crime and battles villains in outrageous costumes.

So does Leon Campbell.

Fuck Superman.

    Um, yes please.

(And would the promo have flown if they used a more generic reference instead of Superman?)

  2. Jason Says:

Perhaps just replace “Superman” with “Super-heroes”? Not as good, but still gets the point across.

Irregardless, thanks for the info, I’ll be watching the soliciations for this.

Holly Toon looks like Betty Boo!
