Gail Simone has been very busy; earlier today Kevin linked to an interview on her forthcoming Wonder Woman run. The Wired.com blog Game|Life also has an interview up with Simone on Pre-Teen Raider, her contribution to the Tomb Raider Re/Visioned series on the Gametap site:
GL: How did you come up with this specific idea?
GS: They asked me to pitch several ideas, and this was the one that they liked the best, which was also the one that I liked the best, too, so I was excited that they went with this one. Because I just thought it would be so fun to show her before she becomes the adult Lara Croft who we’re all used to, and show her at 12 or 13 years old, what would she be like?
GL: What is she like? I haven’t had the chance to see the entire episode, just the trailer.
GS: Six Point Harness, who did the art and the animations, drew her as very adorable. And she’s really independent and stubborn, she’s kinda haughty. You can tell by her attitude that she’s more than a little bit spoiled. And she’s very independent-thinking, and she’s gonna do what she wants whether the headmistress says that it’s ladylike or not.
