Preview: Justice League: The New Frontier

I didn’t go to Comic-Con, but I’m guessing this is the extended preview for Justice League: The New Frontier that was shown in San Diego. The video includes excerpts of interviews with Darwyn Cooke, Paul Levitz, Dan DiDio and Bruce Timm, and clips from the movie, which is due out in February.

    Yep, that’s the same one.

  2. Jeff Greco Says:

Am I the only one who thought Darwyn Cooke looked a little bit like a certain someone from The Office? http://jeffgreco.tumblr.com/post/7847839

  3. Scott William Foley Says:

The New Frontier was a virtual masterpiece in my opinion. I have very high hopes for the animated movie. Maybe unfairly high hopes. But, from what I’ve seen, I think I’m going to be pleased.

  4. Ian Says:

You’re not the only one Jeff, I thought of Toby right away too.

This looks really cool. I didn’t have much interest in this or the book until now. Really good casting too.

  5. Stephen Says:

Great, great teaser. First time I’ve seen a lot of those creators in person!

If this is representative of the final product, I think Marvel should be worried – their animated features haven’t impressed me so far.

  6. Master of the Flying Guillotine Says:

Looks really promising, and I’m really surprised at the talent they got for the voice acting in this one. Still worried about the 70 minute run time, but I’m hoping this works out well.

  7. D.J. Coffman Says:

Love the book, will HAVE this movie.

I bet you right now, saleswise, New Frontier does comparable sales to the Marvel animate movies.
-I would say worse but the inclusion of Batman and Superman help give it a little more sway. (where-as the biggest stars from the Marvel movies so far have been Captain America and Ironman.)

  9. Neil Carey Says:

I think I’m looking forward to this even more than I am The Dark Knight, to be honest.

  10. Spot 1980 Says:

    Cant. Freakin. Wait.

New Frontier is my favorite Superhero book possibly of all time.
