    Oh HELL yes.

  2. Jim M. Says:

    Wow.

  3. RMC Says:

Fuckin’ hell, that looks amazing. Like that they sourced it in the In Extremis arc. I wonder if we’ll get full-on Bluetoothed Tony by the end.

  4. Hector Says:

    nerdy goosebumps here.

i always had faith in Favreau

  5. CodeGuy Says:

Stan Lee said recently that he designed Tony Stark as everything people should hate. He’s rich, arrogant, and he makes weapons.

Seeing this clip, it’s obvious why that can work. Downey is just so good at being the pompous guy who is incredibly entertaining.

  6. Captainx Says:

Why are peopel cheering for this propaganda! Tony Stark is a murdering scumbag who should be thrown in jail

“Why are peopel cheering for this propaganda! Tony Stark is a murdering scumbag who should be thrown in jail”

No, *you’re* a murdering scumbag. I saw what you did in the Dairy Queen.

  8. Joseph Says:

That looks bad-ass. I think Favreau and Downey will nail it. Looks like a hell of a fun movie.

  9. Stephen Says:

Oh yeah. And that was taken from yesterday’s presentation, judging by the folk at the end - so a lot of those people probably saw the clip already.

Let’s hope this is the next great Marvel franchise to equal Spider-Man and X-Men. Well, the first two of each, anyway.

I like the fact that the pre-Iron Man Stark comes across as a real schill - it’s contemporary in tone, yet retains the nuances of the original stories, where Tony was just a cavalier guy with no qualms about selling hi-tech weapons to whoever had enough cash, and it was his accident and subsequent ‘reinvention’ as Iron Man that lead to his change of heart. Again, like Spider-Man, Iron Man is a case of someone accepting responsibility for their actions when bestowed with great power, albeit not until that point.

This film looks better with every peek released - I’ve said it a great many times, and I’ll keep saying it: this looks to be Marvel’s ‘Batman Begins’.

    Cannot.

    Wait.
