Zachary Quinto, who plays the serial killer Sylar on NBC’s Heroes, has been confirmed in the role of Spock in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek film.
The announcement was made at Paramount’s Star Trek panel at Comic-Con.
But, as The Los Angeles Times Comic-Con blog reports, there’s a twist: Leonard Nimoy will also play Spock, the part that made him famous.
Geoff Boucher writes that, apparently, the movie will have a framing device using an older Spock.

A young Spock and an old Spock. I guess it’s the best of both worlds.

Hopefully it’s the death of the Kirk and Spock is at the coffin reminiscing about their first meeting

Sylar as Spock. That’s a concept. If Matt Damon is wooed as Kirk, I can only imagine who’ll be cast as Bones, Uhura, Sulu, Chekov or Scotty. In any case, here’s hoping J.J. Abrams makes it work and that Gene Roddenberry’s oddessy will be reborn.

i think this is a brillant casting move. After I got past him being Sylar, he actually has alot of the same facial features of a younger Leonard Nimoy. I’m really looking forward to this film

I’m down on the whole concept as recreated. J.J. has yet to truly impress me and, quite honestly, I’d much rater see JMS get his hands on this.
