Stan Lee discusses the strenuous selection process behind “Who Wants To Be A Superhero?”:
There was one girl who bared her breast. There were guys who just had the most ridiculous and unbelievable powers that they gave themselves and some who were so funny-looking that you couldn’t believe it, as far as their costumes. We couldn’t use them because they were too extreme, but at the same time we did get a big laugh out of them and in the back of my mind I was thinking, “Well, I don’t know, but maybe the fact that they’re so extreme should make us use them. Maybe the audience would laugh.” But then you’re walking a fine line of whether you’re looking for the viewers to laugh or to give them a little credibility. It isn’t easy picking these ones.
And that’s how they chose the entirely credible and not at all playing on stereotypes Mr. Mitzvah.

Finally, something that combines my love for Superheroes, Judaism, and reality shows.

That Mr. Mitzvah is crazy….ha ha. What is that ping-pong paddle thing he’s always carrying?
Glad they brought this back for season 2!!
