This has absolutely nothing to do with comics, but that’s rarely stopped me before: Pink Tentacle points this incredible crop art created by farmers in Inakadate, Japan. The two reproductions from Katsushika Hokusai’s famous 36 Views of Mount Fuji were produced by growing two varieties of rice.
Residents have been producing the crop art since 1993. You can view images from previous years at Pink Tentacle.

Not as off-topic as you might think - in an odd coincidence, I was reading Scott McCloud’s Understanding Comics today (for the first time - I just picked it up), and came across the image on the left (Kanagawa-oki nami-ura or “The Great Wave Off Kanag’awa”) on page 82. McCloud uses it to demonstrate how Eastern arts make use of negative space.
Everything is related to comics.
