IGN.com reports that Toronto-based Darius Films is adapting the Arcana Studio miniseries GearHead for the big screen.
The comic, created by Dennis Hopeless and Kevin Mellon, is about a teen mechanic who’s more interested in muscle cars than muscle-bound superheroes — until she learns that her father died fighting alongside them.
The four-issue series debuted at New York Comic-Con in February.
Cory Kinney (The Chair, The Sparkle Lite Motel) will direct the film.
