Gee Whiz! Comics in an art museum?

Remember that Montclair Art Museum show I mentioned yesterday? Turns out a lot of media folk are paying attention to it. NorthJersey.com for example:

For the next six months, an exhaustive retrospective of comic book art will be on view at the Montclair Art Museum, complete with rare comics, groundbreaking graphic novels and more than 150 original drawings from the private collection of North Jersey resident Michael Uslan, executive producer of the “Batman” movies.

A longtime comic book reader and collector, the 56-year-old Uslan says that the exhibit, “Reflecting Culture: The Evolution of American Comic Book Superheroes,” is a loving paean to the men and women of steel who captivated him as a child and who still manage to entrance him with their relentless do-gooding, breathless crime-busting and split-second costume changes.

Actually have fond memories of that issue. Too bad there was never a Captain Britain/Young Ones team-up.
