Iron Fist chops and kicks his way into new Spider-Man game

The video game blog joystiq has been covering the big E3 video game conference this week, and one of the games they got a look at is the new Spider-Man: Friend or Foe game. The plot involves some worldwide threat that Spidey has to recruit villains to help stop, yadda yadda yadda … what’s important is that Iron Fist is in the game:

Don’t forget the “Friend” side of things either, because Spidey will be teaming up with some of them as well. In the levels they showed us, Spidey was web-slinging alongside the kung-fu-tastic Iron Fist, who looked seriously cool. We can’t remember the last time Iron Fist was a major player in the comic book world, but he looks awesome in this game. His over the top kung-fu kicks and punches got some chuckles. There are over 13 sidekicks in all, most of whom we didn’t get to see, so you can mix and match on your own.

Apparently the folks at joystiq have not checked out the latest Iron Fist title by Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction, which is their loss. More screenshots can be found over at Marvel.com.
