Fly on the roof

Artist J.S. Kociuba redesigns the Human Fly for Project Rooftop:

Human Fly

The Human Fly was Marvel’s answer to the popularity of stuntmen like Evil Knievel back in the 1970s (besides Ghost Rider of course). His tagline was something like “The Wildest Super-Hero Ever — Because He’s Real!” and supposedly he was based on real-life stuntman Rick Rojatt.

I had a few issues of the comic, specifically the one that guest-starred White Tiger, which I bought on a roadtrip because I owned everything else on the spinner rack at whatever Stuckey’s we stopped at. It isn’t a concept Marvel has revisited since it was canned after 19 issues.
