Billy Crudup to play Dr. Manhattan

Billy Crudup

At least that’s the latest rumor that’s spinning around on various movie sites this week. The actor best known (at least by me) for declaring “I am a golden god” in Almost Famous will portray a big blue god in Zack Snyder’s adaptation of Alan Moore’s classic. Strange. I would have thought that line would have gotten him the Ozymandius role for sure …

In other movie news, Iggy Pop and Sean Penn will be lending their voices to the English language edition of Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis movie, due out in theaters this fall.

Better than the Jason Patric rumor - and still has the right amount of aloof ass-ishness.

    Nice casting job. He’s talented.

Watchmen is going to be good–I can feel it.

  3. Kolimar Says:

    Not bad. :)
