Marvel has made available online all of Runaways #25, the first issue of Joss Whedon and Michael Ryan’s run. For free. (Is it just me, or is the Marvel Digital Comics page-turning “cube effect” really, really awful? The comic’s fun, though.)

You got that right!! The marvel online viewer is quite irritating. There’s just too many buttons and options to navigate the same page. What’s the point??
I just caught the teaser screenshot of an upcoming new comic viewer developed by this company which will also publish/retail comics online – ikcomics.com
They seem to be building an iTunes kinda place for comics – software + content.

I had a lot of trouble just finding a zoom level that didn’t pixel-ate the text on my monitor. Then the totally messed up scroll bar on the right gave me more headaches.
Webcomics have been doing a much, much better job of displaying comics for years. Almost everything about this viewer is inferior to a simple webpage with “next” and “prev” buttons.

I got through two pages before I quit. Give me a comic in .cbr anytime.
