With Clubbing due out tomorrow, what better way to celebrate than by making your very own Charlotte Brook, star of said graphic novel. You will need:
Stiff card, a printer of some description, a sharp cutting tool, colouring pens, and a small amount of patience.
STEP 1) Print out the worksheet:
STEP 2) Cut out the left portion. Then cut around the outside of our teen sleuth. Don’t snip her hair, it makes her snippy.
STEP 3) Fold and stand. Voila.
STEP 4) Cut out accessories of your choosing, or make your own. Bookish or…
…fashionish.
From here you can colour in your Lottie to your own tastes. Future projects will not include making Lottie her own, to scale, static caravan in Filey.
Send in pics of your finished project, especially if you’ve made your own accessories or whatever. I’ll post them on my blog, or here at Newsarama. Enjoy!

Andi you just gave me a perfect promotion idea for my new project.
Are you going to San Diego?

No San Diego for me, I’m afraid. It’ll be the
school holidays so I’ll be home child caring.
Lemme see what you come up with, btw.

Oh, that Lottie is a girl after my own heart! This is great, Andi. I’ll have to think of some accessories to give her and make Brian draw them.
I’m really looking forward to the book. I’m kinda sad that you’re not drawing it, though. Oh, that sounds mean to Josh Howard, who is a very good artist, too. I don’t mean it like that. I’ll stop typing now.

Jennifer, please do break out the pens and scissors, I’d love to see what extras you two’d give Charlotte.
I hope you like the book, but, y’know, I trust you’ll give me the unvarnished truth,
however you feel about it.

Here it is, Andi: http://jdeguzman.livejournal.com/266437.html
I used crayons and drew the accessories myself. Lots of fun.
