Adam Hughes provides the Star Wars-themed cover for the 2007 Comic-Con Souvenir Book. Each year the souvenir book at the San Diego con features artwork from pros and fans related to various anniversaries and milestones, and this year they pay tribute to:
–the 100th Birthday of Milton Caniff
–the 100th Birthday of Hergé
–the 100th Birthday of Robert A. Heinlein
–30th Anniversary of Star Wars
–10th Anniversary of Buffy, The Vampire Slayer on TV
–25th Anniversary of Groo
–25th Anniversary of Love and Rockets
–25th Anniversary of The Rocketeer
–25th Anniversary of Grendel
The Blog@ crew had fun dissecting the cover … each character is wearing an outfit from a different movie: Luke is dressed in his Star Wars outfit, Leia is, of course, in the infamous Slave Girl Leia outfit from Jedi and Han is wearing his Empire Strikes Back jacket (thanks Tom). And they appear to be convention goers, from what we could tell.

If they really wanted to reproduce the con floor experience, there should be fifty guys in the background taking photos of Leia’s butt.
And one billion stormtroopers behind them.
