With great power comes … Conan O’Brien?

From "Mythos: Spider-Man" #1

NBC’s Late Night blog celebrates the cameo appearance of host Conan O’Brien in Spider-Man: Mythos, which apparently retells the webslinger’s origin, subtituting the talk show for the “silly old wrestling match.” Yeah, I don’t know. But I’m having flashbacks to Assistants Editors’ Month — specifically, The Avengers #239.

  1. Steven Ekstrom Says:

You might actually be mistaken here.

AFTER the wrestling match, Peter made his costume–and went on a television variety show where he got hooked on his own kool-aid…didn’t stop the robber…yadda yadda…

The Mythos book hits the finer points of his “character growth”–these aren’t so much retcon books as they are focal tools for characters and their definitive origins.

    What Steven said.

  3. Kevin Melrose Says:

That’s why I wrote “apparently.” I was going by the description on the NBC blog.

  4. Ian Brill Says:

This still doesn’t top his appearances in Anima or Madman.
