Received this over email … the second annual Hero Initiative Marvel vs. DC softball game will take place Thursday, July 26 in San Diego. The teams will be vying for the coveted Stan Lee Cup, the (second) most famous trophy in sports!

    Interestingly enough, the “big” industry awards used to be the Kirby Awards, but a fight over the ownership back in the 80s led to the current two award system (Eisners and Harveys).

    Hey Ugly American: It’s obviously a play on The Stanley Cup, for over a century, the REAL most famous trophy in sports. (The Super Bowl trophy is the Vince Lombardi Trophy)
