The Associated Press reports that Hasbro will immortalize 84-year-old comics legend Stan Lee as a 6-inch tall action figure, to be introduced next month at Comic-Con International.
The $14.99 limited-edition figure, part of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line, features Lee’s likeness wearing khaki pants, blue windbreaker and eyeglasses.

I collect Marvel Legends but Con Exclusives suck when they are one the opposite coast! Cool figure though.

I haven’t liked the Marvel Legends line since Hasbro took it over. The faces and everything just aren’t as detailed anymore. It’s cool there’s a Stan figure, though.

WOW! Looks like I called this one over a month and a half ago!

That will go perfectly next to the Aunt May figure from a few years ago.

I would so totally buy this and a whole series of “great comics creators” – Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Joe Simon, Siegel and Shuster, Bob Kane…. While few have the “star power” of Stan the Man, it would be fun for the fanboys…

Where’s my Bendis figure? He better have devil horns and come with a button on his back that lets him emit a horrific cackle. The box can read “Bendis: Man Who Fucked Up YOUR Marvel Universe. He feeds on the souls of the characters he kills.”

I kid, I kid. Love the Bendis. L.O.V.E.

Yay! Now I can stage awkward cameo sequences with my Fantastic Four and Spider-Man action figures!

Now, if only the Stan figure could talk. Push the button and get “Excelsior”, “Face Front, True Believers” or “Let’s make a comic book of Paris Hilton”.
As for a Steve Ditko figure (and considering his extremely low profile), I’m imagining an empty box with a big question mark printed on the backer card where the figure would normally be.

Rumor has it he is wearing a Spider-man costume under his jacket.

And you don’t want to know what he has under his pants!

“And you don’t want to know what he has under his pants!”
A No-Prize?

Caption: “Kirby’s gettin’ JACK, I tells ya, JACK!”

I love this!! Can’t make the trip, but I very much want one!!!!
June 23rd, 2007 at 5:59 pm
Why is Stan shaking his fist like that? Is he yelling at kids to stay the hell off his lawn?
June 25th, 2007 at 12:36 am
There a mail-away Spidey figure for Stan to have under his arm to replicate the cover art look on the left of the box? Maybe that’s why his left hand is like so.

???????? !!!!!!!!!
June 25th, 2007 at 11:29 am
I hear this figure has a feature that allows it to steal accessories from other action figures and claim that he invented them! How clever!
June 25th, 2007 at 5:02 pm
I want it to talk and say “No, I’m the Hulk! Change damnit! Change! It happened once…”
June 26th, 2007 at 12:30 pm
yup.. he’s wearing spidey suit inside. and there’s 2 interchangeable heads P.P and spidey..
and interchangeable arms and legs
