I like Xeno Giraffe more than Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, and Tangerine Dream combined. Dinosaur UFOs is the best concept album I've found in the last 15 years.

First off,i liked Xanadu. It was awful, but it was fun. Second,i liked FF2. It was awful, but fun.

But the main thing i wanted to say was that 25 million dollars for a movie dosn't sound like alot, but we are talking 1981,folks. Xanadu came out in 1980. If it had not bombed, you would of had a Silver Surfer movie, and 25 million back then was about roughly 60-120 million today. Corny? Sure. So was Flash Gordon and the first two Superman movies, but they have been loved by generations. We may of gotten better superhero movies SOONER than later,by showing studios they could make profits with superheroes than having to wait for Batman in 1989 and then Blade and Spider-man to bring more and better superhero movies on to the big screen.

One other thing...

Imagine Queen doing the music. 1978-1980 Queen. Then go be snarky on those cell phone commericals that you call Fantastic Four movies.

(sigh)

That sounds a hellvua lot cooler than the crapfest currently playing in theatres.

"the sound of 1000 electric guitars", having it done as a rock opera, ideas like these imply a sense of majesty and imagination that the Surfer's story requires. Sure, it would be corny, but it would be a hell of a lot of fun.

And I bet Galactus wouldn't be a cloud.
