Punisher Presents: Barracuda #1

It just hasn’t been a good week for racy comics in Singapore, which has strict obscenity laws. First, How to Make Money Like a Porn Star was discovered at the World Book Fair, and now two Marvel MAX titles — The Punisher and The Punisher Presents: Barracuda have been pulled from branches of the National Library.

The comics carry Marvel’s “Explicit Content” rating, which means they’re intended for readers 18 years and older.

Singapore’s New Paper reports that it alerted the National Library Board, which has since removed the books from its shelves. The comics have been deemed unsuitable for loan.

A spokeswoman said the library will re-examine its book-selection process.
