TVguide.com reveals that Clark’s cousin, Kara, will appear on Smallville:
When Smallville returns for its seventh season this fall it will be revealed that Clark Kent (Tom Welling) is not the only member of his family to survive the destruction of the planet Krypton. His cousin Kara “was sent to Earth in a ship that arrived at the same time as baby Kal-El’s,” reveals executive producer Al Gough, referring to Clark by his Kryptonian name. “But there was a problem and she’s been in suspended animation for the last 16 years. We’ll find out in the season premiere that the big dam break in last season’s finale is the reason she’s finally awoken.”
Kara will have Clark’s powers, in addition to some of her own, the report says. An actress has not yet been cast for the role, but plans are for her to appear in the season premiere and about half of the episodes next season.

Flash, Cyborg, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter and, now, Supergirl? Damn! If they do as good of a job with Kara as they did with the others, I’m plenty pumped about this!

I’m happy that the Olsen twins must have steady TV work again…

I though Kara already appeared on Smallville, or was she from somewhere else?
June 11th, 2007 at 11:21 am
Actually I believe she’ll be played by the girl from Hannah Montana.
No, I just made that up, but just watch the rumor mill spin.

They should have a krytonian shark jump out of orbit down to Smallville.

Won’t adding another hot actress to the cast make Lois look even older? She’s already looking a good 10 years older than Clark and Lana…
June 11th, 2007 at 12:07 pm
I do believe there already was a Supergirl on the show a couple of seasons ago.
I just looked it up: http://www.tv.com/smallville/covenant-2/episode/317906/summary.html?tag=ep_list;ep_title;21

Time for the series to wrap up now.

I think I know what they are doing! When Smallville ends it’s run they will just get all the heroes together and rename the show, and revive Justice League Unlimited!
Also maybe this Kara will appear, Clark will come out of the shower saying, “Ypu know Kara I just had a crqazy dream where you appeared before… .”

Kristen Bell was originally slated to be Chloe Sullivan.

This show is horrible. It should have ended four years ago.
June 11th, 2007 at 3:35 pm
The Kara that turned up a few years ago turned out to be an Earth girl who had been brainwashed by Jor-El’s ghost into thinking she was Kara. (Don’t ask.) Anyway, she was not Kara. My guess is we’ll find out that the other girl was patterned on the real thing.

My dream is for Brittany Snow to play Kara….so even though I know she’s doing movies now so it’s probably unlikely I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
June 11th, 2007 at 7:01 pm
Apparently, The Luthor guy doesn’t want to shave his head anymore so this is his last season.
The girl they got to play the ‘brianwashed’ Kara was completely hot by the way. I think she’s on that football show on NBC. Man, was she hot!

End this show already. This thing has jumped the shark so many times that it’s waterlogged. Just let it go and stop with these terrible ideas.
June 11th, 2007 at 7:27 pm
The first two seasons were horrible yes, since then it has been mildly good to bad to pretty interesting and back again.
Glad someone explained the first Kara on there. She was a mentally ill girl as well. Another “freak of the week” they would call her.
Maybe this is the way of testing to see if they can keep the show and let the aging cast go. Tom Welling has been two ald for the character for a while now. Maybe Smallville lives on in some way with Supergirl anchoring the Show. The CW needs something. They seem to destroy the best that they and UPN had to do a different genre each night. It is sad that the network went so horribly wrong so fast.

….if we don’t get a new Veronica Mars spin-off or continuation…
Can Kristen Bell please be Supergirl?
June 12th, 2007 at 6:28 pm

June 12th, 2007 at 9:37 pm
Nothing to say about Smallville, but I couldn’t let Mike Maihack’s gorgeous artwork go by without comment. Beautiful!

June 14th, 2007 at 9:20 pm

July 8th, 2007 at 9:06 am
Kristen bell would be the perfect supergirl. She’s personifies all the characteristics of supergirl perfectly. A beautiful (we’re talking stellar beauty) blonde who’s very strong yet appealingly vulnerable in her own way.
July 14th, 2007 at 9:07 pm
I just read Laura Vandervoort will be Supergirl on Smallville this fall.About time.
October 25th, 2007 at 12:20 am
what are you talking about smallville is one of the best show’s ever i admit season 3 and 5 weren’t that good. but season 4,6, and 7 so far i would say are the best season to the show and season 1 and 2 was a great start. So it doesn’t follow the comics so what. I have never see a superman cartoon that did excetally otherwise and the movies dont follow the comics either otherwise clark and lois would be married. so why’s it matter.
