ICv2.com has word on the Disney Book Group’s fall graphic novel lineup, which includes an adaptation of the popular YA novel Artemis Fowl and the resurrection of CrossGen’s El Cazador.
In September, Disney’s Hyperion Books will release Artemis Fowl: The Graphic Novel, an adaptation of the first novel in Eoin Colfer’s series about a young criminal mastermind who’s determined to acquire money by any means possible. Colfer has described the series as “Die Hard, with fairies.”
The 128-page graphic novel will sell for $18.99 hardcover, and $9.99 paperback.
In October, Hyperion will release Chuck Dixon and Steve Epting’s pirate adventure, El Cazador, acquired in 2005 when Disney purchased the assets of the bankrupt CrossGen. The series, which ran for six issues in 2003-2004, tells the story of a Spanish noblewoman who takes over a pirate ship to hunt down Blackjack Tom and avenge his attack on her family.
The 144-page graphic novel will retail for $12.99.
