The world demands a sumo comic

May 29th, 2007

Between Paul Pope’s recent illustration for GQ magazine and Takeshi Miyazawa’s photos from a sumo tournament, I’m itching for someone to do a sumo comic book. Preferably, Paul Pope or Takeshi Miyazawa.

I had something of a sumo related webcomic going for a while but technical difficulties and other work have since gotten in the way.

I would like to see someone else’s take on a Sumo comic though, that would be fun.

Is the comic still hosted anywhere? I’d love to look at it.

The DeviantArt page I created for it is still up: http://sumo-at-large.deviantart.com/

Though I should point out that it was a really goofy comic, so don’t say I didn’t warn you, heh-heh.

If someone were to do something more tournament oriented or more about the sport, that would be worth a look.
