Warren Ellis led the 2007 Eagle Awards, presented Saturday at Bristol Comics Expo, winning in five categories: Favorite Writer, Favorite New Comic (Nextwave), Favorite Comics Story published during 2006 (Nextwave), Favorite Comics Villain (Dirk Anger) and Roll of Honor.
Mike Mignola was named Favorite Comics Writer/Artist, while John Cassaday was voted Favorite Comics Artist: Pencils. Newsarama was chosen Favorite Comics-Related Website.

Congrats to you guys for your gong and also for getting the list up - I got back from Bristol early yesterday and couldn’t find the Eagle results anywhere (something for the organisers to think about for next year) except for one mention by Warren Ellis who posted that he had a brief message from Brian K Vaughan to say he had won a gazillion prizes, but he couldn’t find the results online to confirm it either.
Really pleased to see such a strong turnout from the UK small press comics folks at Bristol as well, some very inventive comics coming out from those folks that should get picked up by more readers.
