There have been alternate futures, pocket dimensions, anti-matter worlds, etc. all the same and we saw the unofficial yet undeniable return of the alternate Earths are far back as JLA/WildCATS, The Kingdom: Planet Krypton, and Superboy's Hypertime stories. Nothing changes with the official reintroduction other than that if the DC characters want to visit Kamandi, the original Legion, or Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew now they can.
