Y: The Last Man, Runaways and Lost scribe Brian K. Vaughan announced on his MySpace page that Wired has awarded him with a 2007 Rave Award:
As if this weren’t the best year of my life already, on Friday, WIRED MAGAZINE is very generously flying me to San Francisco for an evening with the “innovators, instigators, and inventors” of The Eighth Annual Rave Awards, where I’m apparently being honored in this year’s “Print” category.
I can’t thank everyone at Wired enough for recognizing the books that my collaborators worked so hard on (and that I quickly banged out between watching bootlegged episodes of SPACED).
Vaughan joins 21 other “innovators, instigators, and inventors” who also received awards, including Heroes creator Tim Kring, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Wired shares why they chose Vaughan for the award here. You can find the complete list of winners here.
