A veritable goldmine

April 23rd, 2007
Author Chris Mautner

When he’s not pointing the way to really awesome interviews, Mike Lynch makes a habit of posting rather odd and often obscure gag cartoons on his blog. Stuff like this collection of literary digest cartoons and ads from the 1920s. Or this selection from “Charlie Jones’ Laugh Book“, full of barely risque cartoons that are so awful, they’re funny. I don’t know where he finds this stuff, but I’m glad he finds it.

I guess the notion of bosses raping their secretaries in the 20s was supposed to be a laugh-riot.

So much for the “good ‘ol days”…

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate!
