Steranko: In the old red, white and blue again?

In the middle of Wizard’s Captain America retrospective, comics legend Jim Steranko drops this nugget:

Today’s world needs heroes more than it ever has and none represents the spirit of America more than [Captain America]. After 9/11, I produced a movie-poster type print envisioning all the elements in Cap’s legend with all sales dollars going to a scholarship fund at the School of Visual Arts for the children of terrorist victims seeking an education in the areas provided there. I’ve also had excellent conversation with [Marvel editor-in-chief] Joe Quesada and [New Avengers writer] Brian Bendis about the possibility of generating a new Captain America series.

Now, anyone who’s heard any of WordBalloon’s (very enjoyable) Bendis Tapes interviews knows that Bendis has been trying to get Steranko to come back to comics for years - Is this a sign that he’s finally succeeded, or just the world’s greatest escape artist slash comic book artist giving us some more misdirection…?
