Scott McCloud, the genius behind Understanding/Reinventing/Making Comics, slowed down his 50 State Tour long enough to do an interesting interview with Hilary Chute for The Believer (and all for FREE too).
I enjoyed this interview more than others I’ve read with Scott, because Chute not only hit all the important grace notes about communicating with comics, she gave us a glimpse of the kind, upbeat “mad scientist” behind all the theory that others have missed.
FYI, Chute has some pretty cool credentials of her own, as she’s working with Art Spiegelman on his MetaMaus book project I told you about last month.
