Couldn’t wait to share this gem posted by the South Bend Tribune on Friday the 13th — not April Fools Day — about the existence of the ultimate 60s TV grudge match as lensed by Rasco Films: The three-part parody known as Star Trek vs. Batman.
As the goofy adventure back in time spins, Capt. Kirk and Spock return to 1967, and somehow beam down to Gotham City, only to be captured by the Joker and Catwoman. Brains from the future are stolen, leaving Spock and Kirk, now zombies, with one final mission: To kill Batman and Robin.
These were among many shorts — I Want to be a Jedi, The Dork of the Rings and Raven Gets a Life — screened last weekend at the sixth annual Independent Video and Filmmakers Festival at Indiana University.
All I have to say is… I want a copy of Star Trek vs. Batman!
