Call it another invasion by mainstream comics or a sign of the coming apocalypse, but Batman was one of 450 names suggested by folks for three new schools in the Palmdale school district (located in the northeastern sector of Los Angeles County, Calif.), according to the LA Daily News.
Other names that were not as cool or appropriate as Batman High School (somebody named Gordon would’ve had to be the first principal): Oprah Elementary (kindergarten would’ve been perfect, however), Harold (High, of course) and Chimbole (as in former Palmdale mayor).
Sad to say, neither Batman or Oprah made the final cut, but Harold and Chimbole did…

If only there was a University of Batman.

Matt,
You’re my hero for the today!!!
Besides, what’s better than a MBA than a Super-MBA… or football players graduating from the BIB School of Gamma Ray Engineering, their mascot being the Hulksters…
Thanks for making me laugh on a day in which few exist…

I went to high school near Palmdale. Nice to see Batman finally found a place crappier than Gotham. From what I hear, he’ll have plenty of meth dealers to fight out there.

Jamie S. Rich said it all. Palmdale is a hell hole. This only speaks to the stupidity that place seems to drown in.
