Millarworld: The internet fights back.

Millarworld’s members present, for your entertainment, a play of ironic morality:

“A couple of days ago I downloaded an Avengers The Initiative comic in cbr format. When I tried to open the file my operative system died: All my desktop icons desapeared, the controls, everything. After this everytime I try to open a file with the word avengers my operative system goes down, and the same happens when I write the word in a program, for example in Google: Explorer shuts automatically and the system goes down. Has anything similar happened to anyone? Is this some kind of virus? It’s not dangerous, but it’s pretty annoying…”

“Maybe a lesson to be learned about illegaly downloading comics?”

“You’ve got malware of some sort on your hard drive now - you’ll need a good antivirus (I use AVG) to get rid of it. I’d definitely report it to the admin of whatever download site as well.”

    Clearly, it’s Dan Slott’s doing.

  2. Graeme McMillan Says:

I would laugh so hard if Dan had taken to posting sabotaged pirated versions of his own comics in order to stop people downloading pirated versions of his comics.

  3. Jamie Roberts Says:

So how did he type the word ‘Avengers’ in that post without shutting down Explorer?

  4. Kirk Boxleitner, a.k.a. K-Box Says:

So how did he type the word ‘Avengers’ in that post without shutting down Explorer?

    Bingo. I smell B.S.

  5. Greg Geren Says:

I think someone knows more about recent news stories concerning Peter Pan peanut butter and various brands of pet food than they do computer viruses.

Hmmmm- the honest plea didn’t work. I lost the reasoned argument. let’s see if we can scare people away from downloading my comics with a little hysteria.
