"Sure, Marvel tried to get some more headlines on the front page by taking over Shotgun Reviews (I’m just jealous that I don’t get advance copies), but for this week, they’d have to be happy ruling the sales roost for once."

As long as you admit to it being pure, unbridled, unadulterated, catty jealousy that you're not getting the advance copies and not, say, a suggestion that anyone is in the hip pocket of the publisher, I think we're good. Cuz Troy's my leader, sir...and I won't have the latter being stated or implied about the man. :D

Countdown isn't going to match the numbers of 52, Amazons Attack isn't going to go through the roof when Wonder Woman only sells where it does, and JSA/JLA are probably going to remain big sellers while not leading too much of a change.

The problem is... where are the other big sellers or even consistant books? Being canceled like Green Arrow or going down the drain like the Flash?

Is DC in trouble?

Shouldn't we wait a few months before such concerns are warranted? It'd be one thing if WW3, Amazons Attack, the ending of 52, and the start of Countdown were failures. Or even the Sinestro Corps and JLA/JSA team ups were failures (considering the attention both are getting).

As for Vertigo, I believe that's based on trades in the book market. So how can anyone know for sure how a book is doing based on direct sales?

Honestly, it's the most retarded thing I've heard since Hibbs used Superman trades not selling as some example of Superman not being relevant anymore (completely ignoring the hit cartoon, the hit tv show, the sales of All-Star Superman, etc.).

Are the covers counted when they list the page count? If not, that's four extra pages for a total of 52.
