Keith Giffen talks about what’s underrated and overrated in his world:
Company-wide crossovers: Especially if there are dozens of tie-in books forcing the reader to purchase more than (s)he wants to in order to get the whole story. Let’s put that into perspective. Suppose that show “Heroes” decided to run a two-hour special answering a lot of the questions viewers have been asking. Now suppose that in order to get the whole story you also had to watch that week’s installments of “CSI: Miami,” “General Hospital,” “South Park,” “Dancing With the Stars,” etc.
Not a pretty picture.
Company-wide crossovers done right, supported by a self-contained story epic enough to warrant the event, can be, and have been, fun reads. Unfortunately, those reads are becoming few and far between.
Wow. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

I was all ready to hail him as a prophet until I saw him give props to Good and Plenty’s.
