Happy Wednesday! I hope you had a good week and weren’t a sucker to any April Fool’s gags. I fell for a couple myself. Friend of mine said it was his birthday. and then I was told that Chris Bachalo was fired from Marvel. I guess I’m just too trusting sometimes.

Madman Atomic Comics #1: One of my favorite comics auteurs — Mike Allred — returns to his signature creation in a brand new Image series.
Tom Bondurant’s Pick of the Week
Well, I’m looking forward the most to Vol. 1 of Showcase Presents the Legion Of Super-Heroes — but in terms of regular issues, I’ll say Detective Comics #831. Paul Dini writing Harley Quinn is always worth a look.
Lisa Fortuner’s Pick of the Week
The Legion of Superheroes Showcase looks like best bet to me.
Kevin Melrose’s Pick of the Week
If I were self-absorbed, I would say BloodRayne: Plague of Dreams #3, since I worked on it as copy editor. But I’m not completely self-absorbed, so I’ll instead split my pick between The Immortal Iron Fist #4 and Spider-Man Family #2 — the former because I’m enjoying the heck out of the series, and the latter because it features a story drawn by one of my new-favorite artists, Vasilis Lolos (The Pirates of Coney Island).
Stephanie Chan’s Pick of the Week
I guess I have to do my patriotic duty and check out Omega Flight #1. I can’t help but notice the non-Canadians that joined the team. I wonder if they have their proper work permits to be employed here…
Since I have a four-day weekend because of the Easter holidays, I’ll be buying up some extra graphic novels, too. I’ll pick up Half Dead, catch up on some Scott Pilgrim and maybe start Samurai Champloo.
