Variety reports that Warner Bros. has hired Mark Burton (Madagascar, Chicken Run) to write the film adaptation of James Turner’s Rex Libris, the SLG Publishing series about a tough-as-nails librarian who battles the forces of evil.
Charles Roven (Batman Begins, The Flash) and Alex Gartner (Afro Samurai, The Flash) are producing the film for Mosaic Media.
You can read an excerpt from Rex Libris on the SLG website.

Fun stuff. I’d love to see some cool comedic adventure with a librarian.

Finally, Hollywood is recognizing the true heroes– the guardians of knowledge, enforcers of dues, celestial custodians of the Dewey decimal system!
