The kids are still talking about Civil War. Admittedly, some of them are saying dumb things, but still…:
I’m trying to create an exhaustive list of all the similarities between Star Wars and Civil War. Please add anything you noticed that I missed.
(1) Stark uses a nanotech controlled assassin to start a war between America and Atlantis to unite superheroes under his leadership.
Palapatine starts a war between the Republic and the Seperatists to unite the Republic under his leadership.(2)Stark creates a clone Thor to help him destroy the rebels.
Palpatine creates a clone army to help him destroy the Rebels.(3)Stark has a red-suited extremely agile apprentice who serves him faithfully early on, then changes sides and nearly dies.
Palpatine has a red-skined extremely agile apprentice who serves him faithfully early on, then dies.(4)Stark has an army of capekillers who try to enforce his will, but are notably incompetent.
Palpatine has an army of Stormtroopers who try to enforce his will, but are notably incompetent.(5)Darth Vader beats Luke Skywalker to a pulp. Luke only survives because his friends flee carrying him.
Stark beats Captain America to a pulp. Cap only survives because his friends flee carrying him.(6)Vader uses mercenary scum like Boba Fett to help capture the Rebels.
Stark uses mercenary scum like Taskmaster to help capture the rebels.Did I miss anything?
Reaction on the Bendis Board is exactly what you’re probably thinking:

(7) Luke Skywalker surrenders to the Emperor. Captain America surrenders to Iron Man.

Technically, Luke surrendered to Darth Vader.

I wouldn’t even call that a surrender. I’d say that Luke tried to recruit Vader by appealing to his good side. Luke was definitely still trying to win the battle.

Oh me! Pick me! Both are overrated!
What? What’s everyone looking at?

Star Wars has a war with an interstellar pirate named Stark.
Civil War, with Tony Stark, was pirated on the internet.
Coincidence?
