Heck...might as well have said, "truth, justice, and alllllllllllllllllll ... thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat ... jazzzzzzzzzzzz," so it at least got a laugh in addition to the cries of being un-American. Well, Mutant Massacre wrought genuine change in tone and story in the X-titles that lasted for years, Inferno paid off long-running subplots in all three X-titles, and Fall of the Mutants... (Hm... Did any series actually cross over during Fall? Still major events, just separate.)
