A resurgence in indy Christian comics?

March 23rd, 2007
Author Wayne Beamer

Evidently, Serenity won’t be the only Christian manga title launched this year by Thomas Nelson Inc. The Tennessee-based publisher has also inked a joint pact with Realbuzz Studios to publish Goofyfoot Gurl later this summer.

Others are already in or getting hip with the comics/graphic novels thang too, with evangelical publisher Zondervan under their Zonderkidz label and B&H Publishing Group’s publishing of the (uh-oh!) Stephen Baldwin-penned Spirit Warriors.

Michael Davis’s The Guardian Line are also up and coming Christian comics. They look to be quite good, too.
