First it was Terry and the Pirates, now ICv2 is reporting that IDW will be reprinting Harold Gray’s classic Little Orphan Annie as well. The series will be edited by Dean Mullaney and will pick up right where the Fantagraphics volumes left off.
Mullaney told ICv2 that he intends to publish Little Orphan Annie in a similar hardcover format to the one he is using for Terry & the Pirates with the Sunday pages reprinted in full color, though in the case of Little Orphan Annie each volume will contain an entire complete storyline rather than the 2-years-per volume format he is employing for Terry & the Pirates.
With this, T&P and the newly revamped Pogo, to say nothing of the plethora of other classic strips being reprinted these days, my bank account is officially in trouble.
