You know, any more threads like this and the Bendis Board will have to think about changing its name:

With Cap #25 and a hell of a cap off in Criminal #5, with sell-outs of Iron Fist and an Uncanny X-Men I can actually read without groaning every five second, Ed Brubaker is pushing the envelope on what superhero comic stories can do. What’s even better is that the last two year that he’s been at Marvel seem to have all lead up to this point…I doubt the man has peaked and truthfully, unless Fraction picks up the pace, I don’t see Brubaker giving up his mantle as the mainstreams top writer any time soon.”

“The collective brains in charge of DC must cry themselves to sleep at night knowing they let this man get away.”

“yea, Bru’s definitely the most exciting mainstream writer in the industry right now… I predict that an year from now, though, people are gonna be saying how he’s starting lose it, and how much better his books used to be in the old days before he got drunk with power and sold himself out like a whore.”

Somewhere, Ed is wondering why he didn’t think about killing Captain America sooner.
