The Vegas Pop blog takes note of DC Comics’ The Brave and the Bold #1, in which Batman and Green Lantern travel to Sin City to solve a murder. What troubles the blogger isn’t that the famous Las Vegas sign apparently has been moved to the middle of a forest — a mystery that goes unnoticed by the World’s Greatest Detective — but that Batman doesn’t like the city. He even says so: “I don’t like Las Vegas.”
The blogger, known only as Fletch, wonders what the city has ever done to the Dark Knight: “Maybe when Batman was in town once and all batman drunk, he kept waking up during cognac-induced nightmares and would confuse the Luxor beam for the Bat Signal. I could see where that would get old if he constantly had to fire up the Batmobile and wait in Striplock (gridlock on the Strip) only to get to the pyramid and find out it was just Criss Angel levitating in the beam.”

Anybody who’s been to Las Vegas could guess why the goddamn Batman wouldn’t like it–it’s never dark! How can he lurk in shadows when the whole place is constantly lit up like a Christmas tree?
