Jon Favreau entered the American pop culture universe with the still-popular-after-a-decade indy cult classic, Swingers, then became a bona fide star director among the masses with the surprise 2003 hit comedy, Elf. Watching how far he’s come since his salad days, I’m really thrilled Favreau’s getting his first big-time shot on the screen debut of Iron Man.
With Shellhead in pre-production, Favreau threw up a few tidbits on his MySpace blog about the progress, along with a comic-tie-in teaser: Speaking of the books, Joe Quesada, Adi Granov and myself have been collaborating on a very cool project that you will soon be hearing about. You want to know more, pester Marvel publishing.
