I’m feeling a little tired and sore after the first day of WonderCon, and I’m pretty sure I could fall asleep pretty easily, especially with the wonderful Chinese food I ate with Graeme, Ian, Carla, Annalee, Matt, Charlie, Brad and lots of other really awesome people.
There’s not a lot of news coming out of the con, and the atmosphere is pretty chilled and laid back. A couple of tidbits, sure, like the whole Green Arrow/Black Canary engagement ring thing, and Phil Jimenez drawing the web slinger, and that Groo/Conan crossover that Graeme covered and Matt will have something up about tomorrow (although not much, because not much was said).
I hope you’ll to check out the Slave Labor panel story I covered for the mothership, as Dan Vado was very frank, open and brilliant about their evolving business model, their Disney relationship and what he would do differently if given the chance to go back in time. It should be up on Saturday.
In the meantime, check out some more pictures while I head for bed.
Newsaramans: That’s Ian Brill, Matt Brady (on the phone) and Graeme McMillan.

I can’t believe Graeme looks like Moby. I always thought he would be kind of a more hirsute Mark Millar.
And what on earth is Steve Lieber doing in that photo? He appears to be assembling a model kit. Is this what he does in lieu of sketches?

He’s putting together a stand that he displays his comics on. I asked for an action shot, so he pretended it was more difficult than it was.

That think snapped shut on my drawing hand, fracturing several small bones. Oddly enough, I draw better now.
