I normally don’t like his art, but his style work for this piece.

I’m guessing his story is set in the past?

I love Ramos. I had hoped he would be chosen artist instead of Michael Ryan. I’m sure Ryan will do a good job though.
I’ll still hold out hope for a Whedon/Ramos Spidey book once someone rips it out of JMS’s cold, dead hands.

I don’t read Runaways; the only TPB I could get was in that offensive unreadable tiny Manga style, and Ugly A. have bad eyesight. Speaking of bad eyesight, did someone hit that little girl in the middle in the face with a frying pan? WTF is up with her eyes?
She almost looks like Shannon Doherty.

you sir, are lame as hell.

love his stuff….he is perfect for this book. who is writing it?

Not really a fan of his work, but atleast none of the Runaways look like Giraffes as he normally draws everyone

If I’m not mistaken, C.B. Cebulski & Mindy Owens are the writers of the story, which will appear in the Runaways Saga Special. It’ll be nice to get some original content in what is primarily a summarization of what has come before.
Here’s a link to a plea from Runaway Molly Hayes:

I’m a huge fan of Ramos, but I was nervous when I found out he’d be tackling Runaways for the one-shot. I’m really impressed, though I do have two problems. One, Molly looks crazy, especially around the eyes; and two, Gert is a bit too slim. Part of her character is that she is a tad chubbier, but Ramos doesn’t really capture that.
Despite those comlaints, this looks wicked awesome and I can’t wait to check out the one-shot (especially with Cebulski writing!).
OH yeah, and Ugly American, you really need to give the book a better chance. Two hardcovers are available right now, one collecting issue 1-18 of the first series and a second collecting 1-12 of the current. Both are well worth the money. If not, seriously, go pick up some back issues. This book is incredibly amazing.

Jimmy – It’s CB Cebulski and, I think, local girl Mindy Owens who’re writing it.

Peter – JMS is already stepping down from AMAZING SPIDER-MAN to concentrate on THOR and his other projects.

This actually looks pretty good, but, what’s up with Molly’s eyes? Is she supposed to be stoned?
Word is Brubaker is taking over ASM. That’s a fantastic choice IMHO.

Whats Michael Ryan drawing then?
February 13th, 2007 at 3:55 pm
If I’m not mistaken, Michael Ryan is drawing the regular Runaways title written by Joss Whedon. CB Cebulski is writing “Runaways Saga” which is going to recap the series for new readers that will jump on for the Whedon-bandwagon. That is what Ramos is drawing.
