NYCC: Don’t ask twice, it’s alright.

Something interesting regarding NYCC from Brian Wood’s livejournal:

They announced the programming for the New York Comic-Con, and there I am on the Friday Night Vertigo Panel, as per usual. Also, though, I see my name’s been added to a second panel on that night, about comics and war. Sadly, I wasn’t asked first (and I wasn’t the only one, apparently) and I have dinner plans at that time I would be a fool to break. And frankly, I always hate being Shanghai’d into things like this.

Could have at least asked you!
    Ahhh…the dangers of assuming.

So what whould have discussed – pro comics, anti war…the recent trend of war used as a marketing tool; the post WWII resurgence of war as a story backdrop, etc. Or just the fact no one seems to have a new idea and a war or crisis seems like a good way to fill time until the next idea/fad comes along. Long live the foil covers!
