Now that ComicSpace features comics hosting, I’m spending more and more time lazily browsing the galleries, discovering “new” artists and webcomics. I was a little surprised, though pleasantly so, to stumble across Sharon Gauthier’s hilarious Gilligan’s Island doujinshi, which reimagines the tale of the seven castaways as a horror story.
Gauthier describes it as, “a cantaloup (fanmade horror comic) about what would happen if Gilligan would snap one day. Why a cantaloup? Because there are enough limes and lemons (erotic/pornographic fancomics) out there. Let’s hear it for horror!”

I’ve only read some of the comic so far, but Gauthier’s got a very good grip on manga storytelling techniques, better than most OEL I’ve read.
