I smell a good cause

Now you can help out the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and smell nice in the process. Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab presents … The Neil Gaiman Collection:

This series is a tribute to the literary corpus of the inimitable Neil Gaiman. His works have been an enormous influence on our lives, and we are honored to be able to present our interpretations of the characters, locations, and concepts within the worlds that he has created.

The collection includes scents based on seven different Neil Gaiman characters from American Gods and Anansi Boys. Such as Mr. Ibis, whose scent is made up of papyrus, vanilla flower, Egyptian musk, African musk, aloe ferox and white sandalwood. Or Mad Sweeney, whose scent is a simple barrel-aged whiskey and oak. On his journal, Gaiman says he’s hoping to have Stardust scents as well.

Very nice. “I smell like a god!”

Its insane and for a good cause. why not? I once smelled Neil during dinner in spain and he smelled nice. Maybe it was the dinner…I’m so confused.

  3. ComicMom Says:

Maybe they’re actually potions, which would explain why the illustration of Gaiman looks so much like Severus Snape.

  4. Mark Engblom Says:

    Is this a joke?

  5. Supreme Convoy Says:

I’m a huge Neil Gaiman fan… but is it borderline creepy if I want to smell like his book?

    Personally, I don’t think so.

  6. The 'Nam Says:

Weird. I’m sure some of them will smell nice, but still…that’s just weird. And it’s kind of an odd selection of characters – I guess London’s underground shown in Neverwhere isn’t ripe for cologne yet.

  7. Eddie Young Says:

I don’t really need Neil Gaiman to smell like whiskey, but I’ll still admit that this is pretty cool.

Especially if they do a line on The Endless, and maybe have the bottles shaped like the characters.
    That would be sweet.
