Lea Hernandez reports on her LiveJournal that the last of the auctions benefiting her and her family, who lost their home to a fire last year, is now up on eBay. She details the problems they’ve had rebuilding their house, as well as what she’s been up to recently on the comic front:
I have used the time ATF to script the new Rumble Girls and Ironclad Petal and fill in the gaps of my knowledge of digital painting techniques.
I would like to be able to continue doing what I think I do best, which is making and writing comics and books. (Rumble Girls, Texas Steampunk, a Prickle comic of some sort, and some much-needed art instruction books.) I hope, with the help of some smart friends, to organize the work so I can turn those into something that actually generates income.
